Leesburg Airshow 2010
Gary Dickens                             November, 2010

With only about 8 months of preparation and some $42,000, dedicated Leesburg air enthusiasts put on Leesburg's first recent airshow on October 23.  First and foremost, it was a fabulous day to bring the kids out for a day at the tarmac watching thrilling areobats and strolling among aircraft and exotic cars.  There was no admission charged, no better way to get up close and personal with light aircraft. After the airshow there was the "Hangar Dance", an event that capstoned the day and celebrated days gone by.

Beyond that, it was a day for the folks at Leesburg Executive Airport to showcase themselves.  It has been estimated that our airport contributes $45 million/ yr to the local economy. No small sum, we need to capitalize and expand on that success.

It wouldn't have happened without a host of sponsors, scan through the list on the right hand side bar and see if there is someone you know. Better yet, consider adding your name to next year's list!

The schedule for the day is listed below the photos, have a look at that too so you can see what you enjoyed, or missed!
